His response was less casual.  “Upasaka, don’t take any wisdom teachings literally. Instead, treat them like a sunrise, notice their beauty and the parts of them that make up the whole. When you watch a sunrise, it’s so beautiful you often don’t notice what the sun’s rising above. When wisdom rises the literal interpretations that make no sense are just the scene from which the sun is rising from. Only pay attention to the sun.”
