Sometimes it takes extensive silence for me to clear out the crap in my head and get to the heart of something.  I can meditate a hundred times and not find it.

Sometimes the crazy stories never relent, no matter how long I sit.


Sometimes, when silence prevails, I emerge with a sense of clarity about how to carry on:

  • take things one day or even one moment at a time

  • don’t worry about tomorrow, just be here now

  • don’t worry any body else first, start with you

  • don’t dwell in the past, it’s over

  • don’t jump ahead to the future and miss all this

  • Be content with reality

  • be satisfied with what you have

  • reduce your desires, for stuff and outcomes
