Everything around here requires concentration. At first everything seemed to revolve around physical concentration; sailing, mountain/ rock climbing, rope courses, etc. But it doesn’t. Physically we can do everything that’s asked of us; mentally we may never be able to. For instance tell yourself, while fifty feet above a quarry on a one foot long, one inch wide ledge, being held up only by a single rope, that you’re not scared, but rather having fun. Capability becomes a state of mind, depending on how focused and committed one is. These are not challenges of me conquering the cliff, it’s trust conquering fear. Do you trust the person holding your safety line? Or rather, do you trust yourself?
