Rumi is described as “not a prophet but a man who has surely brought a scripture..” and when you read his work that seems profoundly true.  Rumi believed that poetry and music and dance are a clear path to reaching God, especially the God in each of us.Rumi-3

“dance, when you’re broken open.  Dance, if you’ve torn the bandage off.  Dance in the middle of fighting.  Dance in your blood.  Dance when you’re perfectly free.”~ Rumi

“My soul is from elsewhere, I’m sure of that, and I intend to end up there” ~ Rumi

“There is a candle in your heart, ready to be kindled.  There is a void in your soul, ready to be filled.  You feel it, don’t you?” ~ Rumisilence rumi
