I believe the greatest measure of a person is their ability to look within:

“I was really bothered by the unkempt sight and rather unpleasant smell of an obviously poor man in a Mexican Restaurant today. I thought of going somewhere else to eat.
When the unkempt man asked the cashier if he could have a glass of water, she smiled graciously at him and said “of course, have a seat-stay as long as you like-you look like you could use a break.”
Instead of leaving, I bought the man a taco.
I am happy to report that earning merits is possible even for judgmental jerks like me. Good to know.”
